Supervised Contact Observation Forms
Please note the following changes have been made to the
Child's Contact Recording forms used for recording of contact as
part of supervised contact;
"Exceptional Circumstances: significant harm to Infant,
Child or Young Person. Have at any time during
the course of this contact have you felt that an infant, child or
young person has been harmed or abused or is at risk of harm or
abuse. Has there been a disclosure of current or historical
abuse. If yes please summarise below and state the actions
taken".
With the increased usage of Commissioned Child Contact
Services, Ofsted inspections are viewing more provider records of
contact. It is very important that these are complete and
comprehensive. Of particular importance is the safeguarding
focus - issues where they occur must be:
- Clearly identified and
- acted on, whether current or historical,
and
- recording must be explicit
Please bring these changes to the attention of all staff
delivering supervised contact and use with immediate
effect.
