Cafcass and You
Here to help you
Sometimes families have problems that they can't sort out by
themselves. For example when parents or carers don't live
together anymore, they can find it difficult to agree on plans for
their children.
That's when a family court can help to find an
answer.
The judge or magistrate listens to everyone's views and makes
important decisions like where you should live, who you should see
and who should look after you.
Information
In this section you will find answers to some questions you
might have about what happens when the courts and official
bodies become involved in solving family problems. If your
family is splitting up; if you are going to be living apart from
your family; or if you are about to join a new one, you will find
advice here.
