Children’s Guardians who make sure that children’s interests are represented in family courts are to be directly employed within a centrally managed, high-quality service, Anthony Hewson, Chairman of Cafcass, announced today.
Following discussions with the National Association of Guardians ad Litem and Reporting Officers (NAGALRO), the Inland Revenue and others, Cafcass has written to all children’s guardians to put forward proposed new contractual arrangements.
Cafcass, the single service created to look after the interests of children involved in family proceedings, is officially operational from 1 April 2001.
