  • Cafcass is pleased to announce a significant increase in the overall rates of pay for self-employed guardians which will take effect from 1 January 2003.
  • Cafcass, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, has obtained approval from the Information Commissioner for its Publication Scheme and will launch it with effect from 30 November 2002.
  • The Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass) publishes its second annual report and accounts today, for the period 1 April 2002 to 31 March 2003.
  • Cafcass is issuing a consultation paper today titled ‘Partnership Strategy’. This will seek the views of voluntary sector partners and other stakeholders on the future direction of its voluntary sector funding framework.
  • Jonathan Tross, Acting Chief Executive at Cafcass since December 2001, has been appointed Chief Executive and Accounting Officer for the organisation until July 2003.
  • The Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine, has appointed Daniel Bernstein to the Board of the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (Cafcass).
  • The Cafcass Board today announced that the employment contract of Diane Shepherd, Chief Executive, has been terminated with immediate effect. The Board decision was made at the conclusion of a full and thorough disciplinary process.
  • Cafcass is delighted to issue a choice of contracts for guardians. We believe this provides the basis for resolving the issue surrounding the employment of self-employed guardians.
