Cafcass announces new streamlined top team
22 February 2005
Cafcass has streamlined its senior
management team to support new plans to provide a more effective
and responsive service to children and families.
The previous top level structure of seven
Director and Divisional Director posts has now been reduced to
four, new flexible Corporate Director roles – each with lead
accountabilities to deliver strong national, regional and local
teams concentrating on the core, front line service.
The successful candidates for these four new
roles are Jane Booth, Sherry Malik, Nicholas Maude and Lamorna
Wooderson. All currently work hold senior management
positions with Cafcass.
Anthony Douglas said: “Today’s
announcement is an important step in Cafcass’ transformation to a
world-class, national front-line service for children and
families.
“All four new directors have the knowledge,
vision and energy required to get Cafcass where it needs to
be. Their individual strengths, combined, make for a
formidable leadership team.”
Each Director will take up the following
portfolios. Further details are appended in the form of an
organisational chart:
Jane Booth:
Corporate Director (Service Delivery Models)
Sherry Malik:
Corporate Director (Strategy & Performance)
Nicholas
Maude: Corporate
Director (Resources)
Lamorna
Wooderson: Corporate
Director (Partnerships)
These appointments have the full endorsement
of the Cafcass Board and are made with immediate effect.
