Cafcass to publish Quarter 3 care statistics
Cafcass, the organisation that represents children's
interests in the family courts, will publish Quarter 3 care
statistics on Tuesday 19th January 2010.
These figures will cover the period from October to December 2009.
Statistics from the last two quarters showed a rapid rise in the
level of care applications made by local authorities in the wake of
the Baby Peter case in November 2008.
Cafcass has carried out a study into this trend and the details of
the findings and an in-depth overview of the Q3 statistics will be
made available next week.
