There were 816 care applications during May 2011.
During 2010-11, Cafcass received a total of 9,165 new applications. This figure was 3.8% higher than the previous year. Care application demand for all months in this year was the highest ever recorded by Cafcass for the individual months except June and December 2010. March 2011 saw the highest ever number of care applications recorded in an individual month, with 891 applications.
