Cafcass care demand statistics May 2012

Care application demand has remained at a very high level. Between April 2012 and May 2012 Cafcass received a total of 1,727 applications. This figure is 14.1% higher when compared to the same period last year. Applications received during the two month period have been the highest ever recorded by Cafcass for these individual months, with the 972 applications received in May 2012 being the highest ever recorded for a single month.
