New Board Members appointed
Education Secretary Michael Gove has appointed Honor Rhodes OBE to the Cafcass Board from 15th June, alongside Professor Ian Butler who has been re-appointed for a second term from 1st May 2012. The announcement follows the appointments of four other new members in April 2012 including John Lakin, Francis Plowden, Fay Selvan and Stuart Smith, and the re-appointment of Mary MacLeod.
Baroness Claire Tyler, Chair of the Board said, “I am grateful to all Cafcass Board members for the commitment, energy and wisdom they dedicate to the organisation and I extend my thanks to those members who have left for the positive impact they have made during their respective terms. I am delighted to welcome the new members, each of whom brings with them skills and experience from a range of disciplines and sectors which will further strengthen the team. Their experience and knowledge will help us to drive forward service improvement in Cafcass and in the wider family justice system."
