Cafcass shortlisted for HR Distinction Award for Health and Wellbeing
Cafcass has been shortlisted for an award at the HR Distinction Awards 2018 in the Health and Wellbeing category.
The award recognises outstanding strategies aimed at ensuring the mental, physical, emotional and financial wellbeing of staff.
Speaking about the nomination, Cafcass Head of HR James Hyde said: “It’s fantastic that Cafcass has been shortlisted for this prestigious HR award. It recognises and organisation that has developed outstanding strategies to promote health and wellbeing across its entire workforce.
“It is testament to the commitment and hard work of everyone involved that we have been shortlisted for this award and we are already looking out for how to take this work to the next stage.”
When compiling the shortlist, the judges sought evidence of an innovative, holistic health and wellbeing strategy which has made a positive impact on the experience of employees.
The recognition comes after a series of landmark initiatives within Cafcass to promote and strengthen the health and wellbeing of staff.
“We now have a network of nearly 50 health and wellbeing champions, 19 Time to Change champions and 18 accredited mental health first-aiders,” explained James.
Cafcass staff have already remarked upon the positive impact the health and wellbeing strategy has made on their work and personal life.
The winners of the HR Distinction Awards will be announced at a black tie awards ceremony in Birmingham in February.
