Edward Timpson to step down permanently as Chair of Cafcass Board

Edward Timpson CBE will stand down permanently from his position as Chair of Cafcass having been elected as the MP for Eddisbury in the December 2019 General Election.

Arrangements to appoint his successor will be led by the Ministry of Justice.

Sally Cheshire CBE, who is the current Deputy Chair of the Cafcass Board, will continue to undertake any activities that fall under the Chair’s role.
