Advice for professionals on Covid-19
From 27 July onwards we will begin to reopen 17 of the 33 Cafcass offices across the country. The offices will reopen to allow our practitioners to meet children and families who require a face-to-face meeting.
We have recently published three protocols:
- Attending family court protocol – this sets out how and in what circumstances our practitioners will attend the family court.
- Returning to in-person work with children and families – this explains our current approach to seeing children and families and in what instances we will ensure we have an in-person meeting with the family.
- Using Cafcass offices during the Covid-19 pandemic – this explains how we intend to open our offices safely to ensure we are able to see children and families that need to see us.
These protocols set out the approach we are taking to ensure we continue to work with children and families and provide them with the best possible services as the country to recovers from the pandemic.
