IT Project Manager

It isn’t just our talented, experienced Social Workers who have a key role to play in supporting some of the most vulnerable children in our society. Behind them are highly organised and effective IT team, of which an IT Project Manager is an integral component.

In the last year Cafcass worked to safeguard and promote the welfare of over 140,000 children at a time of upheaval and uncertainty in their lives. Our Social Workers – which we call Family Court Advisers – couldn’t have achieved this without high quality, conscientious support.

We are currently recruiting for the role of IT Project Manager. The location for this role is flexible. Should you join us your tasks will include:

  • Lead and manage the successful delivery of IT projects.
  • Manage project teams on a day to day basis.
  • Ensure projects are delivered with appropriate governance models.
  • Ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • To work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered.

A key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of our services, here are some things we look for in suitable candidates:

  • Relevant Practitioner level Project Management qualification essential.
  • Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills, because this is a highly visible position with substantial impact.
  • In depth theoretical and hands-on experience of project management methodologies e.g. agile, waterfall.
  • Experience of high-quality management skills including the effective handling of performance, conduct and attendance concerns as required.
  • Budget Management Experience.
