Appointments to the Cafcass Board

Cafcass is pleased to welcome two new co-opted members of the board. 

Helen Osborn will join the Board as a co-opted Board member and Kathryn Gillatt will become a member of the Board’s Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.  

Both Helen and Kathryn have been appointed by Cafcass in line with the Cafcass Regulation 2005 Statutory Instrument. They are appointed for a two-year period beginning on 1 April 2026.   

Helen Osborn is a children’s solicitor. She has been involved with the Family Justice Board and has co-chaired Local Family Justice Boards. 

Kathryn Gillatt is a chartered accountant by profession. She has worked in a number of sectors including frontline NHS and children’s services.  She also has experience as a non-executive director and audit committee chair.
