Eve Twyford shortlisted for the National Children and Young People Awards 2024
Cafcass is delighted that one of its social workers, Eve Twyford, has been shortlisted for the 2024 National Children and Young People Awards in the category of Children and Families Social Workers.
The National Children and Young People Awards recognise excellence in care for children, young people, and families, celebrating accomplishments at all levels and across the whole children’s social care sector.
The award in the category of Children and Families Social Workers recognises an individual who exemplifies the best of the profession in social work with children and families.
Eve Twyford has been a social worker since 2003 and joined Cafcass as a Family Court Adviser in January 2021. She recently won the Social Work Employee of the Year award at Cafcass’ annual awards. Anyone who knows Eve knows that she consistently demonstrates courage, tenacity, and confidence in her engagement with children and families. She is always focused on the welfare, safety, and best interests of the child. Even in the most complex and challenging situations, Eve displays a level of calmness and resilience that is comforting to all those around her and especially for the children she works with. She inspires other professionals and is seen by us all as a shining light of how to work with children and families who are going through a difficult time, often distressed and despairing.
