Strategies and delivery priorities

This section sets out Cafcass’ strategic plan and delivery priorities. It includes our workforce strategy and diversity and inclusion strategy.

Strategic Plan 2019- 2023

Our strategic plan 2019-23 sets out our vision and values, and how our strategic objectives will help us work towards this vision and meet the needs of children and families.

Cafcass delivery priorities

The strategic delivery priorities implement the Cafcass strategic plan providing a more detailed view of the work Cafcass is currently prioritising to develop and improve its service for children, their families, and its services to the courts.

Together with children and families

Together with children and families (Together) is Cafcass’ relationship-based practice framework. Together represents a way of working with children and their families that is based on developing trusting relationships that prioritise listening, understanding, clear reasoning, respect and integrity. It is a key element within our Strategic Plan.

Together with children and families workbook

The Together with children and families workbook includes our values, how these values work in practice, the tools we can use to incorporate these values in our work and the impact this will have on children and families. The workbook shows how our Family Court Advisers will use Together in their work with children and families.

Organisational values

Together is built around our organisational values. These are also included in our Strategic Plan 2019-23.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy for 2022-25

Our plans for equality, diversity and inclusion objectives were published in July 2022 in our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2022-2025

Workforce strategy

This sets out our plans to ensure we have the right staff and the right support in place to meet the demand for our service.
